SONGBIRD
Songbird is an award-winning poetic short film for the Take Flight initiative from the charity aerial theatre company Scarabeus. Take Flight helps young people in London, UK, improve their mental and physical health through a year-long programme in aerial dance. Made purely voluntarily, Songbird is a simple story brought together through collaboration.
A young woman embarks on a lonely voyage through her thoughts, guided by beautifully narrated spoken word poetry. She falls into paranoia and battles self-doubt within the dark voids of her mind.
